We have embarked up on 90 days of positive speech… faith filled speech. Like Joshua was instructed in the Old Testament, we too are setting our speech, and our conversations to be filled with the positive speech of conquest and victory.
Joshua 1:7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua was told to only speak the words that were submitted to and in agreement with the Torah (the Law). It was in the law that Moses recorded God’s call to consecration and God’s promise of the Land to Abraham (and the Patriarchs) and the conquest He would lead them on in possessing the land.
Joshua was instructed to meditate on these things day and night, then talk only of these things. Likewise, let’s come together as a people and mediate only on these things. The call to consecration, God’s promises to us and the conquest of victory.
