What do we know now and at this time?
Since we don’t practice what the Bible calls for in terms of rest, it is totally natural to have these cycles of adjustment (correction) superimposed upon us.
Natural laws demand rest as a part of growth.
It’s not normal to have uncorrected – unending growth.
Leviticus 26:34-35 says the land will take her Sabbath even if we humans ignore Gods word.
34 Then the land will enjoy its sabbath years all the time that it lies desolate and you are in the country of your enemies; then the land will rest and enjoy its sabbaths. 35 All the time that it lies desolate, the land will have the rest it did not have during the sabbaths you lived in it.
So corrections are normal and are demanded by the Laws of economics, But often the Christian can’t prepare of take advantage of these cycles…he is caught between a rock and a hard place.
He can’t take advantage of these cycles because:
1. He is not taught to prepare for these periods (with savings)
2. He is not taught to look forward to these periods (to develop more wealth)
3. He is taught to believe that these periods are a sign of the end of all things.
When an economy is not built on the wisdom introduced by God there will be storms. Jesus talked about this, that He (His wisdom) is the rock on which we are to build our lives. If we don’t build our lives on the truths of the Word of God, when the storm comes our house will not stand. This is part of the reality of what we see in economies at this time. The economic practices are not built on a solid foundation. Thus when storms come there is a crumbling.
We, the righteous need to be wise and see this coming. The crumbling is our opportunity for increase. While the fearful run from the market and investment (creating a sale) the righteous should run to buying up the things that are on sale. I think this is partially how Father foresees the wealth of the wicked is stored up for the just.
