The period we live in is a period of Kingdom expansion, Kingdom growth, and Kingdom power.
All things will be shaken and continue to shake until that which is unshakable remains. That is His Word and His Kingdom.
Daniel 7:13-14 – “I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven one like a Son of Man was coming, and He came up to the Ancient of Days and was presented before Him. And to Him was given dominion, glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations and men of every language Might serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which will not pass away; and His kingdom is one which will not be destroyed.”
The only missing ingredient to that equation is us. Our faith. Our prayer. Our proclamation of agreement.
Our eschatology of defeat, of failure, of believing that the Holy Spirit’s work will be ineffectual until Christ’s return, is harming His work of dominion.
This is a parallel to the unbelief that was manifest through the ten spies who went in to the promised land of Canaan. They came back with a report of giants and failure. That report brought harm to their entire generation, and Father said that for this reason they could not enter in. He then used Joshua and Caleb to raise up a generation who would believe and possess.
Inherent in the word Kingdom is the concept of dominion. There is no kingdom without a sovereign ruling.
1. (Government, Politics & Diplomacy) a territory, state, people, or community ruled or reigned over by a king or queen
2. A political or territorial unit ruled by a sovereign.
a. The eternal spiritual sovereignty of God or Christ.
b. The realm of this sovereignty.
3. A realm or sphere in which one thing is dominant: the kingdom of the imagination.
He has dominion over darkness, dominion over all evil, dominion over all sin, sickness, disease and corruption right now. Just take a look at Matthew 28:18-19.
What are we waiting for? Who has duped us into believing that Jesus won’t rule in the earth until He steps on the Mount of Olives? These are not days to fear. These are days of the increasing and progressive dominion of our King.
We should not be threatened, we should not be anxious, and we should not retreat. This is a time to believe. Believe that God will subdue all the enemies of Jesus.
Hebrew 1:12 – But to which of the angels has He ever said, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet?”
We need to have a confidence that we are on the winning side, right now. Today. You and I need to expect to see the victory of Jesus in our lives and in our culture. The best days are yet ahead.
There’s more to come! Keep an eye out for it, and be sure to share this if you liked it!
