A powerful key to prayer is to pray out loud. Many Christians are not using the powerful tool of their tongue, thus missing out on the display of God’s power.
Your tongue is a powerful key to a successful prayer life.
It is extremely important that you pray out loud.
• Not so that others can hear you!
• Not so that others will exclaim at your eloquent prayers.
• Nor so you can be noticed.
But rather to press you into a new area of winning with Gods favor on your life !
Defeating the powers of darkness that would press you into a religious box.
We don’t want to just be people of prayer, we want to be people of fervency, faith and power!
Praying boldly, out loud is a specific area of prayer the enemy has placed a boundary on..
Satan opposes this activity more than any of us realize.
He has successfully bound and stifled much of the Church because of his influence toward silence and piety.
The Satanic tactic is to keep the church quiet.
• Quiet songs
• Quiet prayers
• Quiet sermons
• Quiet buildings
• Private faith
• What will people think
• Don’t be emotional
I’m sure that everyone of you have been hindered and stifled by some of these tactics.
Have you ever noticed that you never have to say to a Church, “now lets settle down a bit”… “lets’ not be too loud and vocal.”…”you’re getting carried away.”
Do you notice God never says in the Word, “I have a problem with you, you pray too fervently.”
Rather God says, “if you don’t praise me the rocks are going to cry out.”
We have to ask? Who is really in charge? Is it really God and are we really following His Word.? Or are we pandering to demonic influences to silence us and don’t even know it?
• Satan hates bold Christians
• Satan hates spoken prayer
• Satan hates spoken praise
• Satan hates verbalized faith
• Because it defeats him.
• It causes him to loose ground.
• It dispossesses him off of your territory.
• It releases the dominion of God.
• It sets the course for a better life.
• It plants seeds into the spirit realm that will bring a natural harvest.
• There is nothing that sends the enemy fleeing faster!
So who is in charge? Are we letting the enemy silence us in prayer!
What is your church service like?
For most, Church is not something you experience, it is something you observe.
Like a ballet or a concert. You come prim and proper and you sit to watch the professionals have church. They have perfect worship for you and you watch. They pray for you and you watch and listen. They do all the speaking and you listen.
This is not God’s intent at all.
Church, it is time to take another step forward!
It is time to take a fervent posture!
It’s time to rid ourselves of :
• Fear: afraid of what people might think
• Doubt: afraid it might not work out and others have heard us.
• Timidity: Afraid of being to bold about spiritual things.
• Religious traditions: Doctrines and philosophies that contradict the Word of God.
We are no better than the Catholics of Martin Luther’s day if we elevate tradition above the instruction of God’s Word. Thank God for the revelation of salvation by grace, through faith. But there are many other doctrines and practices yet to be recovered.
“Well at my church we pray silently.”
“Well in my denomination we prefer to be more reserved.”
These are many times the signs of stale, dead, dry, lifeless, faithless prayers and perspectives!
Can you imagine how loud and noisy and powerful the worship of David was in the congregation!
Obviously prayer involves more than just vocalized prayers. It involves other aspects too. Aspects like…
But the one element that is most often lacking is the vocal, spoken aspect and this is the key to defeating Satan and entering into a new realm with God!
James 3:3 Now if we put the bits into the horses’ mouths so that they may obey us, we direct their entire body as well. 4 Behold, the ships also, though they are so great and are driven by strong winds, are still directed by a very small rudder, wherever the inclination of the pilot desires. 5 So also the tongue…
Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; 10 for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
Mark 11:22 And Jesus answered^ saying to them, “Have faith in God. 23 “Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it shall be granted him.
Matthew 16:19 “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
Most of us are not really walking out this Christian walk with the faith, boldness and fervency required to succeed. We’ve allowed other influences to control us and rob us of our destiny and God’s best.
Will you make a decision today to change?
