The prophetic is a glimpse into Father’s heart at a specific period of time over a people or certain individuals. Some have veered away from the prophetic, yet it is so essential to understanding Father and who we are as his kids.
In Revelation 19:10 we are told that the spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus. Wow! I don’t know about you, but I think we need more of the testimony of Jesus in our midst. Jesus is the redemptive one; He is the representative sacrifice who covers us and makes us righteous with Father.
The testimony that Jesus brings over every man is a testimony of hope and blessing now made available in Father. His narrative is that through Him we are restored to Father’s original intent. This is what the Holy Spirit brings through prophecy. I am yearning to hear His testimony! He not only speaks by the Holy Spirit over us through prophecy, but He ever lives to present us blameless and holy before Father so that we can enter into the incomprehensible glories of knowing Him.
Hebrews 7:25 – Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
1 Peter 1:10-12 – Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look.
How exciting is that! I certainly need more of that prophetic voice in my life. How about you?
This coming weekend is the Prophetic Summit at New Horizon. If you haven’t registered yet, be sure to do that now at http://nwsummit.org! See you there!
