These are days of so much hope. If we will see and agree with the great lordship and leading of Jesus, we will see more and more redemption in the earth – even through the bad that’s happening. The evil is just setting us up for more of God. I believe Romans 8:28 will be fulfilled in a worldwide way: “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
God showed Daniel an outline of history. Through revealing King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream to him, God unveiled a statue that represented the four empires of Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome.
In this vision a stone struck down the statue, became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
Daniel 2:34-35 – “You continued looking until a stone was cut out without hands, and it struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay, and crushed them. Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were crushed all at the same time, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away so that not a trace of them was found. But the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.”
It was explained that during the period of the final kingdom, the Roman Empire, the God of heaven would set up a Kingdom that would never be destroyed.
Daniel 2:44 – “And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever.”
What was that kingdom? Why should this prophecy of Daniel’s fill us with so much hope today? Find out more tomorrow!
