Yesterday in the anointing the Lord spoke to me to announce Isaiah 43:18,19 to the congregation. As I did, we had a powerful time entering into the application of this as a body. However, I almost didn’t make personal application for myself. The first application of a “Word” can be “us” or in this case “me”. I’m convicted this morning to take this “Word” to heart and believe for some new things in 2010. Let’s take hold of this encouragement together!
Isaiah 43:18-19 “Do not call to mind the former things, Or ponder things of the past. “Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.
He doesn’t want us to ponder, stew on, mediate on and worry over the negatives, the hurts, the offences the wilderness oriented things…old patterns and results that disappointed. If we continue to ponder these past things we will become tainted by them and fail to see the new.
God wants to do new things in us and with us in 2010. Don’t let that become a trite thing or a meaningless slogan. Believe in the God who believes in you!
