Becoming more like Jesus is the goal of God as it pertains to us. He that began a good work in us will perform it to the end. What is the end, the image of Jesus. The image of the one who was and is the perfect representative of the Father (Hebrews 1:1-3).
Romans 8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among many brethren…
Ephesians 4: 13 …until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fulness of Christ.
2 Cor. 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
1. Grow progressively by faith
Transformation is a progressive work of God in your life. When you pursue the Lord and listen to the Lord and do what He shows you, you partake of more of the divine nature.
Glory speaks of God likeness.
2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory… (KJV)
You are destined to be a mirror image of Jesus and therefore of the Father. When you behold the image of Jesus you are to see His image as a mirror.
You determine the rate of transformation!
Your rate of transformation is determined on the basis of your faith…
Faith in His Word results in Glory manifested.
So, we go from faith to faith and then glory to glory.
You can transform quickly…
You can transform slowly…
You decide the pace.
No one is holding you back.
The violent take it by force! (Matthew 11:12)
Progressively as you exercise your faith, you’ll become more and more like Jesus.
