Becoming more like Jesus is the goal of God as it pertains to us. He that began a good work in us will perform it to the end. What is the end, the image of Jesus. The image of the one who was and is the perfect representative of the Father (Hebrews 1:1-3).

Ephesians 4: 13 …until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fulness of Christ.
2 Cor. 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
2. Learn more about Christ Jesus
Christ Jesus is the focus of your faith. His life is now yours. If you don’t learn about Him, you can’t become like Him. When you learn about Him, you are learning about your new-creation self.
Colossians 3:1 If then you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. 3 For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. (NASB)
Colossians 3:9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him…(KJV)
II Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue…(KJV)
John 17:20 “I do not ask in behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word;
21 that they may all be one; even as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be in Us; that the world may believe that Thou didst send Me.

Everything that you learn with regard to Father is yours in reality, and in character and identity.
Every promise that is stated in the Word is stated so that you can partake of Fathers Nature.
